exams are over! finally i can have a good nite's sleep. this has been a real terrible sem for me. with projects taking up most of my time and sleep time even until reading week! but i am glad all these are over. well one thing for sure, my time management skills have definitely improved, which is a good thing :P
only had 4 exams. cuz ee2001 is 100% project based...
first is engin professionalism eg2401. is a mixture of structured and essay style. questions asked in structured manner, answers in essay manner. weird exam indeed.
second is changing landscape gek2001. decided to s/u before it. studied just enough :P should be ok.
third is computer networks ee3204 on the same day as gek2001. quite an ok exam, but then i realised i got some concept error about distance vectors after the exams, but too bad. hope an A is not jeopardised by that 10 mark question.
lastly is computer architecture ee3207. 30%, 40 mcq questions. those questions are mostly not mentioned or described fully in the notes! considered out of syllabus to me. questions that i am really sure is really only around 5-6 questions! but as the lecturer has said, it would be a feat to pass his exam... dunno why he wants to do that, maybe he wants to let the project dictate his grading, so that he doesn't need to re-rank us because of the exams... yes he does ranking in order to grade us...
oh yeah, i bought a new bluetooth mouse for myself :) cuz my old mouse is spoilt. somehow the left click button debouncing is going cranky... click once sometimes becomes double click. haha, bought it at sim lim square fuwell for 85 bucks... well a bit expensive but it's worth it in my own money sense =X also bought 1 SODIMM 2GB RAM for my 2yr 4mth old lappie and 1 DIMM 2GB RAM for the family PC. each costs only 34 bucks :P now 2 GB RAMs are cheap :P

a post before the exams
damn long nv post a blog le. have been busy with projects. finished projects only this wed during reading week! that means i am left with little time to study for my exams, but fortunately, my exams are not so heavy this time round.
EE2001 and EE3207 are really 2 big projects that took up a lot of my time. EE3207 is the one that dragged to reading week. We are considered early to hand in on this wednesday, weird rite? This goes to show this module is really quite jialat, esp the organization of it. well, still, it has been a learning experience :P at least now i can say i have written a VHDL-coded 8051 microprocessor :p and i have learnt how to write machine code with ease :P
tomorrow is the 1st paper on engineering professionalism, halfway thru writing the cheat sheet. quite a lot to write esp the last part of intellectual property law. hope tomolo's paper would be a nice start :) no weird questions or terms that will stump me please :P
ok, end the post le. lol. may post photos of the EE2001 project soon :) a nice project, at least aesthetically :P didn't manage to take a video of EE3207 project, cuz there's actually little that is fantastic to show, esp to a layman. only pple who understand the principles and architecture of 8051 can understand what we have done :P
ok here's the link of the video of the ee2001 project that we have submitted in week 12. :)
